I love black and white photos of my kids. This was from our Valentine Celebration. We had roses and candles, used our good china and served them like they were in a fancy restaurant. I even made heart shaped noodles, and they drank cherry seven up with a strawberry heart garnish. They had a blast.

My Aunt made the hat, scarf and mittens. They are great and the scarf has their initial on the ends. She could not have planned Katies better. She had no idea what color Katies coat was, she just knew her favorite color was pink.
I am always on blogger but never to blog. I really need to use it since I have it. I love to check the blogs because my cousins use it and I have been able to watch their kids grow through the pictures. I guess I should do the same for them.
The last blog was from Christmas. Well since then we have battled every flu, cold and stomach bug that has been known to man. We had about a month and a half of bugs with Jeff ending it and coming to the conclusion that he needs to go back to working only one job. He left UPS just before he would have hit his year mark. I was completely supportive. I know the kids miss him and I did so much every night. It was lonely sitting on the sofa alone while he was sleeping and then going to bed alone and not sleeping because I was worried about him. Now he wont be as tired so we can do more as a family.
Because he left UPS we are down a small but extra paycheck and great benefits. Jeff has his resume on a few job sites so hopefully we will get a few hits. I know he wants to get out of Garage Doors so we put it on for Carpentry and Home Remodeling. I wish I had pictures of the work he did to our old house. I still can not get over how it looked compared to how it did when we moved in. Oh well. One day we hope to own another house and he can use his talents there.
Katie is doing great in school. We have conferences this week so we will see what her teacher has to say. Her report card came home and was great. She is learning to read and is doing quite well with it. She is figuring out how to sound words out along with all the sight words she learned. Math seems to be her favorite subject which is good for her because it is my worst.
Shaylan has started speech. A teacher in the school district got our name and number from a good friend of ours and has started the ball rolling on it. She gave me all the info that I need to get in touch with the child study team. She also offered to work with Shaylan for free until we get it all cleared up. We are not sure if we are putting Shaylan in Kindergarten next year. She may need to have her adenoids out along with getting the ear tubes put back in. We dont find that out until the end of March which puts us behind as far as her hearing is concerned. We just keep praying that she picks up on what the teacher is helping her with.
